First of all , i like the concept of the game , good job.
Now from what i played , some stuff that i would like :
-It seems it is not possible to bind Space to other actions.
-When pressing pause be able to view game options , specially button configuration.
-A slight background music because currently there is nothing and feels a little empty.
-When crafting , if i have materials for a complex item , but not the "basic" stuff , be able to have the option to make all together (i don't know if i explained myself correctly)
-I have not seen a way to move an item after it is placed.
-I don't know if it was added but a way to "turn on attacking" npcs myself (dev said i can throw an npc to zombies before)
-A skill tree (maybe later when game is more developed)
-Zoom on-out from crafting recipes.
-More choices for char creation.
-On normal crafting , have filters for weapons , furnitures , etc.
-Remove food from trash bins/etc.
-Weathers.
(Might add more if i remember something else)

In the long run, local or online co-op maybe? :p
Not really a must have feature but I love to play these kind of games with friends xD

This could end up becoming a long, multi-page thread with sporadic and inconsistent comments/replies (in other words, a pinned suggestion thred could get very messy very quickly as opposed to a suggestion sub-forum where ideas can all be isolated and cohesive)
So first suggestion is for a suggestion sub-forum ;)

Love the game design! Love the control scheme!

In addition to what's been said:
HUD:
We can see durability, time of day, health, energy, and ammo. How about displaying hunger and water? I know we can see it in the tablet, but if it is constantly important then we should constantly see it.

Crafting:
When crafting stackable items, as of writing this, if there is space in the stack but no space in inventory, we get a message saying no space crafting cancelled even though there is space in a stack.
Example: I have a full inventory. I have 3 roasted fruit and 10 uncooked apples. I bonfire my uncooked apples. "Crafting canceled" "Your bag is full"
Yes, technically there is an item type in each slot of my bag but there is plenty of room for roasted fruit, which I can pick up from the ground just fine in this scenario. I hope that makes sense.

There may be more to come after the stream.

I feel like the spawn rate for zombies is incredibly high and I never get anything productive done in the village. I just unlocked the first (?) shotgun but guns are so loud that I exclusively use the crossbow while traveling. Then I get caught in a loop of having to spend 1-2 days recovering enough wood to make ammo for 1 trip, and that trip doesn't yield much due to the zombie spawn rate. Right now the loop doesn't feel so fun to me.

Can we get an option to adjust key bindings at some point? I prefer to have my access to inventory my tab key instead of I key because the amount of time it takes for me to remove my hand from my mouse to my I key is 5 seconds while hitting tab with pinkie only takes half of a single second.

Would it also be possible to add tool progressions, allowing certain tools to degrade longer and harvest more resources from destroyed materials?

More resolution options would be nice. I like playing in windowed but it's either too small or it covers everything.

Lootable containers. Having to smash everything gets tedious and fills up the inventory too fast. Just have them be one or two slots big so they can't be used as storage chests. They would only contain the rarer items you sometimes get and you could still smash them for the raw materials.

Also more items like weapons and equipment you can find in the world. As long as they are worse than what you can craft it wouldn't mess with the balance too much.

My suggestion would be so far that the game continous when i go to bed ^^ everytime i go to bed i stuck in the "Saving now" screen....wait for over 5min and nothing happened. Cant play this game so far =/

-Please let me open my inventory when I'm crafting.
-Slow down the time, or have options to slow down time progression.
-Actual melee weapons.
-Stone traps or stone items. There's no use for it.
-Herb crafting. There's those big purple flowers that look like you can harvest, but they don't do anything. Maybe special healing bandages or stimulants- low hunger, low thirst, reduce stamina, faster move, faster melee, instant heal, etc.
-A better understanding of what the NPCs want. They only use emotes, I don't know what the water droplet emote means- they won't drink water. Make them have phrases in addition to the emotes- "I need a weapon" ; "I'm hungry" ; "I'm thirsty" ; "I need to sleep"
-A better menu for making NPCs do things. I see they can craft or harvest stuff, but it's not clear how to do that. Also, if they craft, let me assign them a chest to pull materials from and a chest to deposit created items.
-Attachments for guns- there are too many zombies to only use the crossbow. If I use the SMG, all of the zombies spawn and make it hard to play. Let me make a silencer, or make a start pistol have a silencer so it's balanced.
-Lootable containers. Primus40k is correct, it's annoying to smash everything. It wastes too much time, stamina, and zombies hear it. Half my time playing is running from zombies or shooting them.
-Less time crafting. From my previous suggestion, the other half of my time is gathering sticks to create either arrows, charcoal, or smg bullets. It's NOT FUN. Picking up items and crafting should be fun and rewarding, not a cycle of craft/gather for 6 hours -> fight for 6 hours -> loot for 2 -> run home at 12AM. It's boring.

With the trailer and promo video emphasising so much on run n' gun aspect of the game, I would suggest you to put an unlimited or infinite ammo on to the ranged weapon and increase the number of the zombies to make the game more like a hoarding survival with focusing on defensing the base from the hoard of zombie.

And yeah..I think crafting need less time.

Here's a few suggestions that i think that would improve the game:

1: Melee weapons capable of staggering the undead.

2: Stealth. Due to the current high spawn rate every trip outside our initial base is too resource exhausting since we can't lose them once they aggro.

3: Interactions. As of right now if you put two furniture pieces together "such as a bed and a drawer" it makes interacting with them a bit annoying.
This should be easily resolved by adjusting the way things are interacted with such as, the player being actually close to them or turned torwards them.

4: I love the crafting system but i feel like it could be a bit more elaborated. We currently only need Iron Ingots to make bullets, that right recipe should be copper, gun powder and lead.
I assume things will be more elaborated as time goes by.

5: For the love of god give us more player customizations! I want to look as pretty and badass as i feel whenever i'm putting holes in the undead population!

That is all for now!
And oh! You haven't played enough until you find a Magical girl set! KAWAII!

here's a few suggestions that i think will be nice

1. when i open my drawer, please auto open my inventory as well
2. the bag that i've carried, it would be nice if there's an UI for it to indicate that.. I thought i dont have the bag, and i crafted it, and then i realize it's there all this while.. and it's so misleading, it's actually giving me another 6 slot, instead of 12 slot?

3. also it will be nice when i put the craftable items down, it can be rotate
4. and can we have a level up mechanism, after killing monsters, becoming better at it? or better at crafting as well?
5. it will be nice if we can craft some automation items, to help auto craft items.. etc..
6. and there's no conversation or tooltip to help me interact with the 1st NPC i get at the cafe please improve that.. totally no idea what i can do with him
7. please please turn that crafting time ♥♥♥♥ off.. its so waste of time.. 3 sec equal to few minutes in the game-time... and then the night arrive.. its so hard to progress anything..
8. please improve the HUD.. god it so hard to see anything
9. can we also hv some conversation going on.. even if the character self talking.. at least i would know what to expect.. when entering new scene, map..

that's all for now.. i'll come back again for more suggestion..

To your third suggestion. You can already do that you just have to press the number of the slot you placed the furniture in to rotate it.

To your seventh suggestion. This isn't minecraft, get over it, things don't just magically get put together just because you don't like to wait.
I see a lot of people complaining about crafting time and i find it stupid.

2. doors that can be repaired
3. a map?
4. make crafting faster!!
