Its lazy to just have the consumer "host their own game and go against some bots" over and over, when there should be an engrossing campaign that explores the lore, and goes more in depth then is what usually is required for games that are pure multiplayer.
Every quality Game does this. Call to Arms, even Iron Harvest, Men of Assault, Company of Heroes etc.
Its also stupid, for a publishing company or the devs themselves to not want to attract more people to their game, so they can make more money. So how hard would it have been to spend a few months scripting a decent campaign and some well crafted single player scenarios, I mean this is basic ♥♥♥♥ from Heroes of Might and Magic old school days, but its like the new generations dont know any better and they just let devs get away with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ most maddening ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥..
They'll just take you for a ride and you'll just get crappier and more bare bones content more and more, while they are drinking margauritas on the beach with the Star Citizen devs , sitting on their bags of gold and laughing about how easy it is to come up with some janky co-op cash grab these days, because Gen Z is like shaking shiny keys in front of their face its all they need. Maybe yall just dont know any better.
Also, Keep in mind, these days, you can be talking to a gamer who is in their 60's or 70's and has been gaming since the early 80's.
So not everyone has the same interests in games. as you do. Gen X as a majority is not really down with multiplayer. You probably find that hard to believe but its simply from growing up without the existence of multiplayer in the first place, and also being older already, younger kids annoy you, so why would you want to spend your time with your favorite hobby, ruined by rando douchebags kids being annoying?
Also as you get older, you tend to view your free time differently so you cherish enjoying a hobby by yourself, and not having to have some 12 year old tell you hes going to ♥♥♥♥ your mother, who has been already dead for 30 years is the way i plan to keep it.
Not my idea of a fun time.
It would be like taking a group of rowdy teenagers that were somebody else's kids, with e on a fishing trip. Why the ♥♥♥♥ would i do that?
So, if devs want to attract the OG's who invented this ♥♥♥♥ in the first place, and whom are still very much alive and very much still playing video games , so they can get "that bag" they should to stop taking the easy way out with pure mulitplayer games. Think about it, it actually requires some thought, imagination, and well thought out game mechanics to pull off a stellar campaign, any douchebag can drum up a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ environment and copied assets to then let the ctual consumer do all the heavy lifting/
Even Arma, which is one of my favorite IP's. The most creative scenarios and campaigh conversions are modded and scripted by the community. And thats just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy. Back in my day, ♥♥♥♥ like that would never happen.
So thats all i got to say about that . lol
From my experience, bare bone multiplayer games like this, with no added features, are usually from china or russia, and what do you expect?
That's it. That's my message, tired of lazy complaints.
This game *NEEDS* an offline option. I don't care if it's just bot matches or a proper campaign, but ALL "online only" games should have at least some kind of basic offline functionality so that when the servers inevitably go down, we can still enjoy the game.
I actually have a friend who is looking for this EXACT game but I don't know if I can recommend him one with a limited playerbase like this.
Honestly it baffles me. There is an overwhelming number of online-only games for VR, a platform that by its very nature has a limited playerbase and low discoverability. These games are effectively all doomed. BUT if they had an offline option, I'd gladly sing their praises because it means that I'm not wasting my money buying a game!
