My complaints are more so on the controls. Some powers shoot without you actually doing anything. The pause and menu settings are janky, the fighting goes from 0-unfair.
You essentially lose most of your Drac powers specifically for this dating quest and you slowly regain them as the game goes, and one of the things missing is a blasted dodge. Idk if you ever get one, but man do you need some kind of dodge or quick flash movement for these fights.
Another really personal complaint is, as a straight chick, there has only been one dude and he was a "bro" - literally called brosifer. The other like - 6-7 monsters have been girls. So the praise of it being inclusive is a little weird to me lol.
Mind you, I AM enjoying this game. It's cheeky, fun, and not explicitly shocking for shocking sake ( though on the contrasting point, it doesn't do ANYTHING 100%, which may be a downside.) If you can get through the frustration of mechanics, it's worth it.
There are also at least 4 guys among the contestants, not counting Van Hellsing. So it's not too bad, but maybe you get too many of the guys near the end (I'm not far enough to know at which point they all join).
Anyway, I've played about 2 hours so far, and honestly I think it's pretty fun. Something I really like is that the upgrades you can get are tied to how much the contestants like you, but when you have to vote someone off those upgrades are lost for the rest of the run, which both gives it some extra replay value and helps tie the game's genres together. I can agree that maybe the combat is a little on the clunky side, but it still plays enough like Castlevania that most of the Castlevania tricks will work. Use your subweapons when dealing with nasty enemies rather than trying to melee them, abuse jump cancels and landing cancels as much as humanly possible, and I'd generally recommend the sword or the whip over the spear since they're much safer to use.
Nah I didn't miss them but They aren't doing anything but moping in the church atm XD I did mercy him but it hasn't proven fruitful just yet but as I said...hopefully I said, I'm only 3 hours in.
I love the mechanics when they work the way they are supposed to, so I probably should have gone more into detail like you did, but those lil frustrations definitely started to annoy me. I might try on keyboard cause I really do like this game so far.
Meh the idea is good, I will keep an eye on it. I guess it does feel like it should have been 20 instead of 25....maybe?
The cold hard reality is you can probably find 4-5 really nice indie platfomrers for that price...
Guess no one knows how long the game is yet. Maybe wait a week and someone will have finished it.
Only if you choose to spend instead of waiting as long as it takes for the right price to balance things out.
