Lost: Haven't progressed in hours
I have air dash, the pink bomb, and the spin/jump/attack thing. Spin is the last real upgrade I got.

I have been bouncing all around using the pink bomb/spin to get some high jumps, but I have spent hours not really finding any meaningful progress. I've explored as much as I feel I can. I been going everywhere I can think of for like three hours or more. I've collected a few minor upgrades but that's it. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

A lot of people seem to stall out around this point in the game, myself included on my first run.

I recommend going to the lava area below the quarry. You can reach the boss with the upgrades you listed, and defeating it will give you a wall climb ability.

I think part of the issue is that the two tiny bouncer things that you have to get past to progress into the lava area just aren't really used anywhere else up to that point, so you've probably forgotten they were even a thing. (Not talking from personal experience. Nope. Definitely not something I did. Ahem. xD)

Any advice on where to go after getting the wall climb? I feel like I've been all around the map but I keep getting to obstacles I can't get past.

After wall climb, I like to go to the Sunlight Arboretum to unlock the air superdash (or whatever it's called). To get there, ascend from Overgrowth where the NPC that gives you the goggles is.

I think you might have to use the bomb/spinning super jump technique to get up it.

Edit: Strike that, I just did some space janitorial work. I love this game so much.

Original post: I've gone up there, but I cannot find it anywhere. I love how this game lets you go just about everywhere, but does not hold your hand at all when it comes to where you should go.

Thanks y'all, moving forward again. And yeah, they need to do a better job showing what those little blue guys are, and quite frankly, making them stand out a bit more in the first place.

Well I'm struggling to get through and find wall climb. I have three main leads. Two involve crusher puzzles that seem flat-out impassible. I got through the first portion of a crusher puzzle on the left-hand side of the map, only to find the top of the second section requires more speed than I have. My third lead is... an impassable gulf of lava also on the left.

Gotta say, I was all on board for a while, now I'm vacillating between, good but flawed, and unnecessarily hostile design. It's getting really tiring traversing large sections of map from a recovery room, so that I can throw myself into a gauntlet designed to repeatedly kill you. Hollow Knight was hard, but not cruel. This is just starting to feel cruel.

Lava area is the hardest area to get through, imo. Once you get through it, I think you might come around to liking the game again.

To proceed through the crusher puzzle area to the left that you described (which is necessary to get to the boss), you first need to find two switches in other parts of the lava area map. There are two computers outside the path to that puzzle that tell you this, more or less, but I don't know if you need to interact with the computers to advance or just find the switches.

Getting to the switches may also involve crusher puzzles, but those ones should be doable with what you have.

I can confirm lava section is borderline impossible. Just turn on no damage hazard in the accessibility options and enjoy the game. Seems like the devs are trying to mate celeste with Hollow Knight without knowing why celeste worked.

I explored the mines then went and finished the basin before finally beating the lava boss (easy). I had one, possibly 2 blaster upgrades at that point. The first time through I had some trouble with the crushers, but I get the timing with the dash now and it's nbd. Just a learning curve you'll get over. Getting the double jump augment has proven a lot more useful than I thought it was going to be so I'd scoop that asap.

I did finally get past it. One of the crusher sections got slower for some reason and I found a switch and then the other crusher section also became doable. Lava land is just the worst. Absolutely a bad time, made worse by the games obscurity. Did I do things? Yep. Did I know what I did? Nope. Did things eventually change? Yep.

Stuck on the Arboretum, giant worm boss right now. Still hate the long-ish path between the boss and the nearest respawn. But all in all, i'm just grinding until I get the pattern down, which is fine.

Tip for the worm boss, don't bother healing. You won't have time for it.

You can heal during the worm boss while he's coming back down to the ground. But you will give up dps opportunities doing this.

I've been stuck after getting the pink sticky bombs. Anyone got any advice on where to look next? I don't think I'm oblivious but having a hard time figuring it out.

You need to get the spin bounce next. To get there, find the weapon vendor above the NPC next to a bouncy mushroom, then head out of the weapon merchant area to the east.

There are moving platforms that can't fully move until you blow up a purple rock stuck to them, and they will take you to a teleport room from which you can then navigate to the boss that will give you the bounce jump ability.
