Any other games like this?
Shantae and the Seven Sirens was a relaxing, joyful game that really got me through a couple of bad days. Any suggestions for similarly uplifting titles? Thanks!

Besides other Shantae games you can try this one https://store.steampowered.com/app/400910/RabiRibi/
It`s a metroidvania with focus on exploring and bullet hell boss battles.
If you don`t mind 3D platformers you can try https://store.steampowered.com/app/253230/A_Hat_in_Time/
Both of them not too serious and with interesting gameplay

Thank you for those wonderful suggestions! I actually own both of them though. Can you suggest any others?

I can only think of Disgaea series, but it`s a tactic games and can be grindy. But they still not too serious. Other platformers or metroidvanias i remember is always have something serious or not that relaxing.

If you want metroidvanias with silly humor, I highly recommend the Guacamelee games.

Batbarian was a really good Metriodvania. Much more challenging than this game but not the same art style obviously.

I'm a little late here, but you might try Monster Boy if you haven't already.

Both it and Shantae take inspiration from the Wonder Boy/Monster World series, so you've got a hero exploring an open world full of dungeons, and can transform into various animal forms. Familiar, right?

Speaking of, there's also

Thank you for the Monster Boy recommendation!

3000th duel was much fun. Just gets a bit annoyingly hard at the very end.

Ori games have sort of a cute style to them.

Hollow knight not to forget.

Maybe hob.

Second the recommendation for Disgaea games (if you don't mind SRPGs).

As far as metroidvanias recommend Bloodstained RotN, Tohou Luna Nights and if you don't mind games with adult content highly recommend getting the Castlevania-inspired Midnight Castle Succubus (has both SFW and NSFW mode).

Like already mentationed Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero, must confess i find that even better than 7 Sirens (played 1/2 Genie on WiiU so dont search it in my Staem libarary :) )
Also like already stated Monsterboy and the cursed Kingdom, it has many similar Mechanicsm but they are nearer to Half Genie than SIrens.
If you dont looking for an easy pace game i woud say "Salt and Santuary" , but that one get really hard, so i guess you chillaxing will be very short in that game....

I'll suggest something completely different than the other people. Depending how old you are... this game might be a mix of uplifting, nostalgic and melancholic.

There's also Ori if you haven't played it yet, though the intro is rather sad.
