Cancel Evolution
Does anybody know what are the benefits of canceling evolution - aside of keeping visual appearance)?

Like will the skill tree differ?
Will the stats be better by any chance?

Unless you want to own each Nexomon individually, I don't believe there is a reason to cancel the evolution.

I would like to know too
I don't remember if it had any effect in Pokemon, i played the first two poke generations so long ago.
I do remember in the anime an episode that Pikachu was able to outspeed a Raichu cause the Raichu had evolved to soon to learn some speed skills, but i'm not sure if that transleted to gameplay and if so, if it was used in this nexo game too

I have played Fire Red and Leaf Green. In there it had significant effect, practically what you have described with Pikachu and Raichu - just other 'mons and skills.

It's mostly visual.

The skill tree is actually the same either way.

I have noticed that higher evolutions get a stat boost from the evolution. The most noticeable to me is the stamina boost which you only get from evolution or rebirth in New Game+.

There also doesn't appear to be any difference in stats from raising Nexomon yourself vs. catching a wild one at a higher lvl. At least not that I'm aware of. This game doesn't seem to reward you for catching low lvls. Something I didn't realize until about halfway through the main story.

The main way to increase your stats appears to be rebirth in the New Game+.

I didn't ever look at my stats too closely though.

You mean that evolving the nexomon later gives you some stat boosts?

And about stats, i was comparing stats and i think i saw 2 variations at least

. defense focused, with high Hp and defence

. attack focused, with high attack and speed

Didn't paid too mcuh atention tough

I just meant I noticed that the evolved form seems to have higher base stats. I don't think that it changes based on when you evolve them? I think the game just adjusts accordingly if and when you evolve your Nexomon.

The stamina stat for sure gets a boost from evolution though, since I noticed it doesn't change based on lvling up. Maybe it does once you reach certain lvl thresholds. I only ever got my Nexomon to be around lvl 120 both before and after rebirth. The stamina and attack stats were the only ones I really payed any attention to when I was playing.

Maybe it is randomized? based on the individual Nexomon. Like catching 2 at the same lvl and they have different stats. I never compared, so that might be the case.

I am curious now if anyone will figure it all out haha

Oh, i got it, i was overthinking things xD .

I searched for "nexomon stats" but found nothing.
That nexopad site has just some basic info, nothing more in dept about stats ,just here and there you find some interessant piece of info , but it's just for the Extinction game

I was looking the site's database for nexomons and, i don't know if i didn't paid enough atention or just looked it superficialy, but seemed that not a single nexomon of the original game was there, dos that means no original nexomon in the sequel?

Yeah there doesn't seem to be much info out there on the original game, like you said most is geared towards the newer one. I checked out their site before as well and it mostly focuses on the Next gen of Nexomon. It's also hard to navigate the site, which kept me from looking at it too closely. And reading some of the update/news posts here on Steam it seems like a few things were added/changed when they revamped the game for PC. But yeah nowhere is there any info on stats.

I just got the 2nd game (haven't played it yet), but based on the events of the ending of the first game Omnicron tells you that with his death you are basically dooming all the Nexomon (which came from him and his children) to extinction and the name of the 2nd one Nexomon: Extinction I think it's safe to say there must have been some kind of extinction event that took place. I wonder if it will have a system in place similar to Pokemon with like resurrecting fossils or something.

Well, that kinda disapoints me. Long long long long time ago when i used to play pokemon yellow and silver we really didn't have access to info about the games here in Brazil, first i didn't knew english at the time and the game was just in english here, internet wasn't a common and easy thing as it's today, so i end up playing but not really understanding the game

I though i would finally get a deeper experience with a monster game this time. I know this game is quite simple compared to what pokemon become but, a well made basic guide would be cool

It's sad too.I hope nexomon didin't repeat what's happening to Poke franchise that is overcrowded with monsters with less creativity each generation.
I didn't get Extinction yet but if the original have 300 and the sequel another 300 its alread 600 nexomon, it would be better to focus in just few monster but given than dept

Oh I loved Pokemon Yellow as a kid. I can't even imagine trying to play it without being able to understanding the dialogue.

Yeah, Pokemon was more in depth as far as raising and lvling Monsters. A guide is always nice.

So far the little bit I played of the 2nd one looks like it goes a bit more in depth with the Nexomon, giving them descriptions (something I wanted badly for this first one), naming your Nexomon, and it looks like stats matter more, and even your skills have stats. So that's something to look forward to if you decide to play it.

I know what you mean. There was a trash Pokemon that was a real low point for Pokemon. And I played most of the beginning Pokemon games and even some of the Pokemon Dungeon and Ranger games. But yeah, it just got sad. I'd be happy with just a few well-made Monsters as opposed to a bunch of mediocre ones. But I'll take what I can get haha since I love these types of games.
