I'm having this problem as well. Black screen, can't force quit. I had played it awhile ago, but wanted to get into it today and it won't load.

In such a situation, I would recommend completely reinstalling House Flipper 2. This involves deleting the Steam House Flipper files and the files in the Documents and AppData folders to ensure that nothing remains on the computer. Then, reinstall the game.

Some program may be interfering with the game files and blocking the game from starting, in which case I would ask you to send the game day files to us here - Support Contact [houseflipper.zendesk.com]
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

right click the cloud icon on taskbar and then select settings and use the drop down arrow on pause syncing and choose quit one drive. it will turn back on when you restart your pc. i only turn it off for house flipper 2 it doesn't bother any of my other games

OneDrive is deactivated, but the game does not start. It remains stuck in a black screen. It says "test" at the bottom right. New installation did not help. When I bought the game, it worked on my system without any problems. All drivers are up to date.

After the recent updates, many of us have the same problem. The developers respond in a standard way, saying that the PCs do not meet the minimum requirements (even if, for months and months, they worked very well), but it is probably their way of saying
that they are unable to solve the problem. Obviously I will never buy games produced by this software house again.

No, if your computer does not meet the requirements then that is the issue. It's not supported at that point.

Whether or not a game works anyways, is just lucky, as it's not always going to be the case. This does not only apply to this game but ANY game that is released, that is the whole point of noting the game's requirements. That is what the game has been tested on and is what is found to be stable at the time of release.

Okay. I have 75 games on Steam, others on other platforms, even very heavy ones (for example Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020); in this sea of games, the only ones to have the exact same problem are House Flipper (929 hours of gameplay at maximum graphics, before the last update which crashes it) and House Flipper 2. Usually the correct explanation is the simplest one: is it a coincidence that only these two don't work?

I guess that depends. Does all 75 games not meet the requirements?

Does your system meet the game requirements to any of the games you noted?

If it's only the 2 House Flipper games that does not meet the requirements, then yes, it makes sense that is why you are having the issues you have compared to that other games you have purchased.

If for some reason, you do have other games installed that also does not meet requirements, then it seems like you have issues not reading up before buying, As well as just being lucky that you are able to play those as well.

You obviously are aware that your system is not quite up to pare in meeting the requirements, so why are you blaming the devs for the system that you own? They can only do so much to help. If something is not supported than there's a reason behind that.
Blaming other people for issues that you have control over. That's what makes no sense to me.

Snake_5 you got that wrong. The developers only ever reply with the same answer. It just doesn't apply. My PC is better than "recommended" and the game was already running before the updates. Now it doesn't run anymore. That means the developers don't know what the problem is and are using an easy excuse.

Exact. The point is precisely this, also because a game that crashes BEFORE EVEN GETTING TO THE MENU has nothing to do with the minimum requirements required, especially when (I'm referring to House Flipper), I have a processor that surpasses the minimum required, I have double the required RAM and have a video card slightly below what is required. My job is to develop management software for the Government and, although my field is obviously not games, I'm pretty sure that the minimum requirements have nothing to do with this problem.

Because - I'm mainly referring to House Flipper 1 - my system, in terms of processor and RAM, greatly outperforms the minimum required, and the only problem is that it features a video card slightly lower than what is required.
Could that be the problem? No, because the game doesn't even seriously involve the video card, simply because it doesn't finish loading and stops before the menu.
Come on: I've been developing software professionally for almost 40 years...
