Weird bug with lights and roofs

I finished upgrading the Peacey home. Then I bought the first house, planning to move in and sell the home. Switched home location to new house. Went to the new location using right click menu, got the pop-up about auctions, but the right-click menu was stuck on screen, no matter what I did.

Quit game, came back at Peacey home, but all my roofs are placeholder items. Since I found out I can't sell the home, I proceeded to flip the new one, hoping the roofs would get fixed over time, but when I came back, everything is black, no lights work, not even in the neighborhood, no ambient light either. The flashlight does work however. All lights are also disconnected from their switches, but reconnecting them does not help. No amount of messing with graphics options seems to fix anything.

Strangely, after a few times loading in again, two spots in the kitchen were on somehow. They were not connected to the switch I had them on. When I reconnected them, they turned off, but I can't turn them back on again.

It gets weirder still. Even though I reconnected the spots previously, when I get back after selling a flipped house, they are disconnected again, and the two spots are turned back on.

Nope, I also haven't played because of this bug. Really don't feel like starting a new game doing all the jobs again for this.

OK, I loaded the game back up, just to check. The lighting is now fixed magically, but the roofs are still FUBAR. AND.. it gets weirder again, because now my control keeps rapidly changing between controller and mouse whenever I use the mouse.. I could unplug the mouse of course, but then I'm still stuck with the roof problem..

I'm working on an existing house and adding onto it, but half of the house is in white light. Usually I can end game and come back and this problem is fixed, but not this time. I know i haven't changed any settings, so I'm not sure what's going on. I noticed when it goes from daylight to dark, each time I've had the problem, this seems to be what triggers it for me. But, this time, it isn't going away.

Yeah, I really hope some of these issues get fixed, because this is otherwise a nice relaxing game to play.
