Saving Progress NOT WORKING

I start a job in a house, I spend some time working on said house, I save the game, quit the game, later I come back to the game, I load my profile, I click in the emails section to continue working on that house, I select continue(I don't select start again) and the game loads the house in the INITIAL STATE.

I'm editing my post because as evolution.400 has said, turning cloud sync off seems to do the trick.

I have the same issue, it doesnt save, it doesnt even let me go to main menu, just shows the saving icon at the bottom right for a moment before doing nothing :(

Turning cloud sync off seems to do the trick, would be good if we could leave that on tho. The bug still stands.

Yeah I have same problem. Working on the house, then game crashes and when you get back into game and to the house all progress you made is gone.
This is really infuriating when working on big house and hours of progress is gone.
Gone try to turn cloud save off but they should REALLY fix this.

It was working fine for me until yesterday when I bought a house, moved office there, did the renovation.

Then I bought a new house to flip, attempted to visit, got an infinite loading screen, so I force-quit the game. Then loaded and my "new office" is a total mess.

Rage-quit and went to bed

Game's been working fine until last night/today; I did some jobs, finally unlocked wall demolishing and building, and once I got back to the childhood home I spent a lot of time decorating. I am 100% sure I saved before I quit to main menu and then the game. It didn't crash.

Today I just hit 'continue' and loaded into the house as it was before I started on all the decorating.

INSANELY frustrating.

Turning off cloud saving sounds like an insanely bad option for me as I play on both pc and Steam Deck.

lost 3 hours of progress renovating a house. I manual saved, exited the game, went to bed. just logged on and the house is brand new (full of trash). completely gutted, lost most of my motivation to play. How is manual saving not working???

Switching off Steam Cloud Save (in game's properties when navigating to it in the Steam Library) appears to have fixed the problem, but I second view of others.

This was an upsetting experience.

I don't have cloud save enabled, and I cant even get my profile to save. Every time I start again its as if it's a new install. I have no profile, no saved information. I have tried autosaving, manually saving, using F5, but nothing works. I'd really love to play but I'm getting bored and frustrated playing the same couple hours over and over.
