Custom Jobs on Mod.io

I just found out not too long ago that Mod.io has custom jobs for HF2. Can anyone explain to me why playing any of these is so difficult. My laptop has absolutely no issues with HF2. Game never froze or glitched once and if it ever did it was rare and didn't last long. But trying to play these custom jobs, even turning my graphics settings as low as it will go, the games are just endlessly freezing and glitching and so hard to play. I can't understand why I can play the game with no issues but adding a custom job from mod.io and trying to play that even on lowest graphics is just so difficult and unplayable. Not to mention trying to overheat my laptop as soon as I load a level. Any explanation or potential fix would be great. I'm just struggling to understand.

In the custom jobs, players tend to go a little crazy with the amount of trash they add to their jobs ;). Trash really seems to be a problem, dirt not so much. Just a few days ago, I played a custom job with a whole room full of that green, mossy stuff - and my game became SO slow and blurry, very close to unplayabale :D. But after picking up most of that trash, it got back to normal.

So if your machine doesn't handle that very well, try to pick jobs that come with less trash. And perhaps on a side note to the georgeous players that create custom jobs: perhaps add a bit more dirt to clean and less trash to pick up to keep your jobs playable for people with less high end machines :).

There is a little program called "Borderless Gaming". You can either buy it on Steam or download it for free on GitHub. After I added House Flipper 2 to my favourites list on Borderless Gaming, the performance improved dramatically!

Thanks for the help and for helping me understand the problem too. I bought borderless gaming too. Seemed like it would be useful on probably a few occasions so didn't feel right to get it for free when it didn't even cost too much. Happy to help where I can and all that. The game is still a little slow at times but that's now rare instead of every second of the game. So thanks so much for that tip, it has really helped gameplay significantly!! I feel like I can play custom jobs properly now instead of it just being one blurry mess where I can hardly see anything or move. I'm so grateful for all the help. Thanks to you both. I'll be careful on jobs that look like they have a lot of trash too in future.

Glad I could help! One last thing - if you ever plan to stream any game that's in your BG Favourites list, make sure the program you use for streaming (for instance, Steam or Discord) is Not in your Favourites list at the same time, otherwise the two programs will conflict.
