Also can I ask you a BIG favour? Stop mentioning the removal of DEV tools in every post you make, it's getting really old now and the game can still be enjoyed without them, it's not the end of the world!
Except, it WASN'T a bad decision to remove the dev tools. The dev tools weren't meant to be in the retail version of the game (i.e. the game the players got).
I agree with Moving Target, it is getting old now and the game is actually better without them as less chances of game breaking bugs occurring. Also, you have been told the reasons for the decision the devs made countless times and refuse to accept it.
Have you even used dev tools? The game is much better with them. Can you move an entire house? Can you build a pool any depth? There is even a floor plan editor. If dev tools weren't worth it, people wouldn't use 3rd party applications to get to them.
When the house is finished I upload it to mod.io for other people to play, there are essentially 2 types of builds (1) Showcase builds which is just a finished house people can explore or an unfurnished shell they can finish themselves. (2) Jobs which, like story mode, have a set of tasks to be completed.
I make jobs as it is challenging and more fun but takes a while to master, it is also what keeps me engaged with the game striving to make my next build better than the last!
I have never needed to move an entire house because I plan my build beforehand although it is possible to move an entire house from say the beach to the suburbs WITHOUT the use of dev tools. What is the point of a deep pool? Swimming isn't a thing! Floor plan editor, no idea what that does and it is possible to create a simple floor plan using a solid base and single brick high walls to map out your build.
(1) DEEP POOLS - real life yes - game no
(2) MOVE AN ENTIRE HOUSE - real life no - game yes
(3) FLOOR PLAN EDITOR - real life yes - game a passable workaround
Does this make it clearer as to what I am talking about?
I answered your original question and now I'm out!
