House Flipper 2 - Co-op Guide!
How to play Co-op in House Flipper 2

Let's start with the basics before we begin:
  1. You can play as either the host or the client.
  2. Max number of players (host + clients) is four.
  3. The host always shares the game progress with others.
Here’s what to do:
  • Start the game.
  • Hover on “Co-op” in the Main menu.
  • Choose “Host” if you want to create a lobby, or “Join” if you have a lobby code from your friend.
  • In “Host” mode you can choose between Online (worldwide) or LAN (local network) modes. Here you can also decide whether your lobby should be open for crossplay and what region are you logging into.
  • Select “Create Lobby” and wait until the lobby window loads. You’re the host now.
  • Invite your Steam friends through the “Invite” button in the lobby window in the game or simply share with them your lobby code or IP address (for LAN connection).
  • If you want to join via code, choose the Co-op -> “Join” and enter the lobby code/IP address you have received from your friend.
REMEMBER: In online mode, all players, even playing on the same type of platform, should have their crossplay options set in the same way (everybody on or off) to be able to join! Future clients can change their crossplay setting in the Host window (you do not have to create a lobby though).
  • When all your invited players are added to the lobby window, you can start the fun!
  • On the panel on the left side of the lobby screen, you can choose what you want to play: Story mode (new game or continue) or Sandbox, and go on the adventure!
Servers are private, so joining a game is only possible through invitations or a lobby code/IP address from the host. All your feedback[docs.google.com] gathered during these tests will be priceless.

Remember that only the game host can invite others to the game.

LAN mode works only on your local internet network. Two PCs placed in one house should be able to join the co-op together, but playing with someone across the street is only possible via online mode.

What if we lose the connection?
Since the Co-op feature is still under development, you may lose the connection with the lobby while playing. In such cases, it’s best to restart the game. Your overall progress is always saved on the host profile

If you encounter any bugs or problems -> Submit a request on Zendesk – House Flipper 2[houseflipper.zendesk.com]

Both of you need to have the same version of the game, otherwise, the game will not connect you.

Where can I find other flippers to play with?
We made a channel on our discord server dedicated to Co-op tests. You can also check the post on a Facebook group. Links are as follows:
House Flipper Official - Discord server[discord.com]
House Flipper - Facebook Group[www.facebook.com]

How to add someone to the friend list on Steam?
To add someone to your friends list on Steam, go to their profile and click “Add to Friends”. Alternatively, go to the “Friends” tab on your Steam profile, and you will see the option to “Add a Friend”.You can send someone a quick invitation or “Friend code”, and another player can do the same for you.

Remember to be online on Steam to see your friends and invite them to your game or to join to their game.

Have fun, Flippers! :bessie_happy:

Been playing Co-Op with the wife last couple of days via the open beta, amazing job devs! even though its still in beta i don't think we have encountered any issues at all yet.

Well done! :) It was a feature I didn't know it could do with lol

I just bought the game for myself and my wife. I was able to get Co-op beta access, but she's not able to see the Co-op beta sign up on the store page? ... Any suggestions?

I'm also having friends say they can't find the Co-op beta access anymore. Is co-op just enabled by default now or did they close access?

A bunch of us had planned to stream the game tomorrow but if co-op beta has been removed then we obviously won't be able to.

I've just tested it and co-op is now enabled by default and works straight from the main menu. And they updated the above guide post to no longer mention the beta sign up button.

I feel like the people you are playing co-op with should get like 10 or 20% fees that carry over with them to their world so they get something out of it.

I love the co-op mode the only thing i would add is to be able to make a "spawn point" for each player 2 bedroom house we both spawn in the same spot

Hi guys. first of all, congratz for the game and the new co-op mode. :)

If it's just me that only the "Host" can unlock the achievements?

Worked well yesterday as a non-host, my acquired perk levels were persisted to a restarted lobby of the same host. Today however all acquired perk levels were lost as in reset to zero. I've submitted a zendesk request but maybe someone else encountered the problem as well?

Just as an update: The day after again it works! No idea what changed. My perks are even synchronised between my hosts save and my own save. It's amazing! Gives me a small advantage in my own save I feel :-)

works great, maybe make shared Custom Pictures work if we share the identical files

very much supported!
Do both people need the game for co-op, or can I invite a friend that doesn't have it to play with me?
