Demo Review
Welp. Here's another one.

Pros:
-Enjoy that the cleaning tool changes depending on what you're cleaning
-The improved customization ability for the furniture is wonderful, offers a lot of creativity
-Like the animations of putting walls up
-Like the state of the house in the beginning, looking absolutely trashed and dirty and ripe for cleaning and improving and flipping. Looks much better than the HF1 houses

...yeah that's it.

Cons:
-Holding a trash bag that takes up half the screen and forces me to angle the camera down so that I can see trash over it
-Literally having to place every single bag in the garbage. I know it wasn't realistic but HF1's vanishing trash worked just fine.
-Jerky inconsistent movement, like my character has weights tied to the legs
-Terrible FOV, camera blurry when turning and laggy no matter how much I tweak the settings
-The click and drag mechanics now added to paneling and painting are terrible. Causes motion sickness as the camera has to be swung all around. Inconsistent depth measuring. Paint roller and glue tool can get stuck in the corners of walls and the windows. Swinging my mouse around to do this causes wrist strain and it takes double the time it would in HF1 with the click/drag placement of floors and the simple painting method. The click, click/hold mechanic is also confusing at times.
-I kept picking up my panels and when I'd put them down it would just duplicate itself
-Cleaning ability literally doesn't work. Can't finish the house completely thanks to several stains that refuse to vanish no matter how much its scrubbed or sprayed. Glass on floor respawns sometimes.
-Vacuum is not only weak but absolutely terrible to control
-Building tool is wonky, though I do like the animation of putting the walls back together.
-Hammer lags the game out upon hitting the wall
-The tutorial books are dumb AND they get in the way while you're trying to work. Why not just have a pop-up when you test your tools?

Overall: A bad experience. I tried to stick it out as long as I could, but I developed a headache thanks to the camera motions. This is actually extremely disappointing bc I was hoping that HF2 would improve on HF1 -- because I really want to like HF more than I do. I really /want/ to play this game but I will not buy it in this state. A lot of the mechanics in HF1 were clunky but somehow they are leagues better than all the click-and-drag that's been added in. I hope that's either toggleable or replaced with a more reasonable, steadier method.

Here's to hoping. Wish the devs luck.

I totally agree with you. I wouldn't buy this game if it stays in this condition
