Will we ever see workshop coming back?

I know they replaced workshop for mod.io, but why can't we have both? Are there any technical issues preventing that? Or is it only because it's unfair to console players?
I mean, there are a bunch of games that are on both PC and consoles, yet we have mods for PC
I just miss the workshop, made decorating HF1 so much better

I also miss custom workshop items and decorations. Yeah, they have custom jobs and houses on Mod.io, but what about furniture, decorations, etc.? I'm not sure why they haven't brought that back yet. it was one of the best parts of House Flipper 1 and gave so many more opportunities for making your house feel like a home. I feel so limited in decorations in HF2 compared to HF1, and that's my ONLY gripe with HF2 lol

I dont understand why we can't have both, it's nothing new that PC players have more opportunities when it comes to modding
With long time between updates it's just eh, I've seen all items a thousand times at this point

i tried mod.io thingy and why do i need a freakin 3rd party account for mods?!?!... ugh...

Bought this game for my wife as she loved HF1, but currently the amount of items is so low that she doesn't want to play. It's limiting her creativity and makes everything less satisfying. And now, after just a few hours with the game - she doesn't want it anymore. Very bad move, devs.

Agreed. I'm trying to do a coastal interior on my current house, but there are only a handful of lighting options, etc. so I'm very limited on what will actually match the decor. The same is true for other styles -- except maybe gothic! I mean, I get it, I used to be very into gothic style myself, but geesh, MOST houses are not gothic style. Why can't we just have the same styles as in HF1 to choose from? Baffling.

I don't find the mod.io even very useful either. I know it offers houses made by other players, or custom jobs-- sorry but I want custom furnitures made by other players just like we have in HF1. Either make the game modded to have custom furnitures or give some more proper objects instead of just useless clutters like boxes, holders in which we can't put pens, bowls in which we can't put fruits, or cloth rack on which we can't hang clothes. There aren't much hanging clothes in the game even but they gave an empty cloth rack in recent update!! 😮‍💨

Unfortunately nothing like that is in current roadmap. But hope to see a new roadmap with new year. Let's keep our fingers crossed 🤞

They talked about it early after release and it's one of the most requested features on canny but nothing has been said for quite some time and they are doing everything they can to push for mod.io instead (which is a terrible solution that no PC player wants...).
