Make money a valuable commodity.
You know, it's just occurred to me with this game, I play almost exclusively in Sandbox mode as a house builder among other things and just about nothing else once I completed the game.

There's just nothing to aim for with your money, don't get me wrong, YES you can buy things for your house and yes you can purchase other houses and flip them but you get soo much cash and flipping houses for profit is about as full-proof as it was in HF1.

In Powerwasher simulator you had to prioritise and grind for better equipment, you had to buy your own soaps, money was a much more prominent factor.

In HF2, money is nothing more then a light gating for more expensive houses which you will soon over-come, I want items and buyable things that will take a week or 2 to grind for, let me be able to buy a supercar or a yacht that costs a bajilion dollars, let me be able to buy somthing that will serve as a monument to my success, not just a couple hundred coins.

The Sims is PERFECT for this, it's how you start at the bottom and you end up having the top tier items in a mansion.

What does buying a car or a anything else have to do with house flipping?

If you like the sims so much then play that. There's zero connection between these 2 games, no idea why people continue to compare them.

It doesn't, it's just somthing nice to buy for your home and somthing to spend a lot of money on, besides, having a empty garage/driveway all the time just feels incomplete.

My gripe so far with the money is that you literally can not fail. If you buy a house and proceed to sell every single sell-able thing in it including doors and windows and even the roof and stairs...then try to sell it as a gutted hulk with no paint Mr Bylow will still give you a profit of a few grand lol...you can't go negative or do a "bad" flip. It is impossible to lose money. If you buy a house for 30k and spend a million on renovations you will get every penny of that back plus the profit of what they think the improvement were worth. That just isn't the way it works.

I agree, money is pointless in the campaign mode from what I've seen. the first house I flip I'm starting with a crazy amount of money that I'd never even come close to using. Should start with like a few hundred dollars then the money you get from selling things you save up to get nicer things and that determines the resell value. Also sucks that we can't share quests that involve reselling on MOD.IO because at least then you can set the starting $ amount and we'd have way more available after campaign mode is finished..

adding million dollar trophies is not gonna do anything to fill the void here. You'll buy it and feel just as empty as before. The problem is that money isn't something you have to manage, there's no challenge. And for this game, I think that's probably fine. I just want to make a house look good, I'd rather not think about whether an expensive couch will be worth it to my sellers.
