Exterior Siding
I may just be losing my mind but from what I can see, there are no exterior siding options like in one. I filled several holes in the wall and now I have to do an interior paint on the outside because I cant match the siding that came with the house.

You can match the siding by using the Flipper Tool and selecting the Copy style option. The Trendsetter perk needs to be unlocked for the flipper tool.

Copy Style doesn't seem to work with the majority of existing finishes (especially not with worn/damaged ones), but does work with everything bought in the store,

In the store, you can find the surface finish that's the same colour, then pick pattern, rotation and pattern size to get as close as possible to what's already there. Worst case scenario, if you are unable to find the exact match, just replace the whole thing, using Copy Style to buy more of the same if you run out.

Unfortunately there are numerous small faults like this all through HF2. Something works here but not there, There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason either. I've spent a lot of time trying to get something to work as expected and give up to go do something else. Come back in an hour and try again and bingo, it worked. Rafferty's rules in action.

Only a few hours ago I had a line of bricks with a total length of 27.5 feet. Where that 6 inches came from I haven't a clue (OK, I'm betting there's a dozen people just itching to make that into a joke).

Anyway I demolished the wall and relaid it, same thing 27.5. Thinking outside the box I laid it again from the opposite end and wouldn't you know it came up as 28 feet. So I removed that and tried again from the original end, and got the original length., 27.5

I messed around with that wall for over an hour. I tried everything I could think of and I couldn't get the correct length if I laid it from right to left. So I admitted defeat and laid it left to right. How in God's name did half a brick happen?

I didn't realise until just now I should have taken some screen shots, but the frustration got the better of me and I completely forgot. Actually I think I'd accept it if it was a bedroom or or lounge etc, but it was a kitchen and the first thing I thought of was fitting kitchen cabinets. They wouldn't line up if there was a stray half a foot.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW Well we can't all be winners in this world (ITCH SCRATCHED!)
I finally figured it out:

Surface finishes>panels>select the material you want(pick stained or painted for custom colors)>E to change style>pick your cut pattern, size and color(if you've selected a material that can be customized)

to copy the surface finish on walls/floor/ceiling, select 'Copy Style', point at the surface finish you want to copy and hold left mouse button like you would if you wanted to move stuff
