Roof Demolishion Question!

Hey folks!

Quick question, is there a way to get rid of extra roofs? I can't sell it or demolish it, any other ways to erase it? For example, porch roofs? I'm working on starter house and I need to get rid of the little porch roof in the back of the house.

there's a vote about it on Canny.io app , go there and left you vote to allow roof , stairs remove in story mode

there's a vote about it on Canny.io app , go there and left you vote to allow roof , stairs remove in story mode

Should really be allowed removal in ANY mode

as i was also looking for a way to do this, im gonna add my findings here: just drag your house file into the sandbox houses. play> edit house> architect tool> sell the roof and then just save and put the file back where you found it

Dumb question, but how do I do that? I tried to find the file, but couldn't.

Yes I have exactly the same problem, I can't find it in the folder either. I assume its being stored on steam cloud but can't seem to get it to save locally

You can remove the roofs in story mode without having to change your files etc. I messed with it for an hour and figured out that if you go to sell mode on the sell gun and hold down the left click while aiming at the roof you want to remove, delete/sell it after a few seconds of holding it down. This was in story mode with a house I purchased to do my first flip. Not sure if you can use it on stairs yet...Will try soon

You can use it on stairs too! You just have to hold for a few seconds, probably to keep you from accidentally selling the roof when you were aiming for the lights :p.
