How do you clean windows?

In the first game it was a simple matter of click and drag across the window. But here it doesn't do that. I skipped doing it in my first job thinking it was something i had to unlock and that the game wanted me to finish the job incomplete as a tutorial thing but I'm in my second job now and i haven't unlocked the ability to clean windows yet (i have the spray bottle now). What am i missing?

Target the window while holding the sponge and a prompt will appear to clean the window, no spray bottle needed.

You don't need to unlock the ability to clean windows! It's not even a skill you level up.
1. Equip the cleaning tools
2. Go to the nearest dirty window, close enough for the "clean window" prompt to appear at the bottom middle of the screen.
3. Click left mouse button and clean the window like in the first game.

Yeah but then what? How do you actually get rid of the stains? No amount of scrubbing gets rid of them.

I did that but it didn't work. Maybe my game is bugged?

Yeah but then what? How do you actually get rid of the stains? No amount of scrubbing gets rid of them.

You are supposed to go into the window cleaning mode first. If you do everything correctly, a squeegee will appear. If it doesn't, exit the game and verify the integrity of game files. If that doesn't fix it, submit a bug report.

While you are HOLDING the button down a squeegee will appear and you can either use the directional keys or mouse movement to clean the window

Yeah squeegee shows up and follows my cursor but it doesn't do anything. It leaves a weird blank mark directly behind the squeegee when I click and drag but the stain reappears when I move it away from that point. How do I submit a big report?

You need to keep cleaning until you get a 'sparkle' effect to indicate the window is clean, some stains are almost invisible, if this doesn't work try verifying your game files on Steam as this often fixes small bugs

Wow. Verifying files has never worked for me before. I was honestly shocked that this worked for once (and i had something snarky to say and everything lol). Thanks ^_^

You're welcome, just sorry you didn't get to be snarky! Glad this fixed your game, it's always worth verifying files just to be sure, especially after a game patch or if you have a minor bug it doesn't always work but it's awesome when it does!
