Empty lots

Hello, there is any empty lots in Story Mode where i can build house from a scratch? Or its only in Sandbox? Also, can i demolish a whole house in story mode? Because i cant delete any roofs and staris.

There don't seem to be empty lots, though I did wonder if maybe we can upload an empty lot to mod.io and download it again to play with? Since in sandbox mode the house you build in play mode won't save (which is annoying).

I feel like there is something essential missing...

Just so I understand: why would you want to be able to build a house from scratch in Story mode, if you can build one in Sandbox mode?

This was one of the requests on the Feature Request Board, actually. As this isn't a particularly complicated one, maybe it will be implemented someday soon.

From what I've heard, it is possible to export houses form either mode to another mode, but not everyone knows how to do it.

Because in story mode you can sell them. It's kinda more fun if you do it to sell it in the end. Else you just build a house and... that's it.

By the way, I tried that now, bought the old houseboat (smallest house I could find). demolished it completely and built some ridiculous house on it (I had to include the stairs somehow, it was before the hotfix with now allows us to delete existing stairs) -- got a plus of 87.000 money. Most I have ever made out of any renovation so far.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I personally just build houses for myself. I hate the selling/buyers-part of the game and always cheat to skip it... :D

I would to bump this thread. Adding lots to buy would be great. Being able to go from foundation to finish should be apart of the main part of the game.
