THIS IS MY BIGGEST GRIPE!!! I didn't even notice until now looking at the reviews that there was no carpets. But the toothbrush holder... and the desk organizer for pens....

One of my biggest gripes, aame with the pencil holder/desk supply box where you cannot put decor into, or the coat hanger where you cannot hang coats, or the key hooks where you cannot put keys, so on and so forth

You can hang coat hangers just gotta move your mouse to a specific spot

Came here looking to see if there was any solution to hanging keys on hooks (I could swear I read "You can hang keys on hooks!" in the loading screen somewhere) ... guess it's still not possible in October 2024.

You can hang keys on the key racks - I do it all the time - the mouse cross hair can be a bit tricky to line up but when you hit it correctly they snap in same for coats on hooks and towels on towel bars/hooks

Odd - there is this green cross hairs and I think I just line each line up till the center cross hits the hook. On some items the cross hairs is hard to see and is a bit hidden or off the edge the easiest keys are the old fashioned then modern without fobs but I have all those on my hooks

- I'm using mouse and keyboard on a PC, are you using a controller or console? I will fiddle with it later and see If I can screenshot the process just before it clicks

First I line up the vertical green line with the hook then slowly raise till the horizontal green line hits the same hook (center of the cross hairs is on the hook) then the key will suddenly snaps down. It will look like you are hanging the key or other item from it's center (not the loop) don't try to hang by looking at the loop (or item top) but by looking at the center of the green cross hairs. Once you get the cross hair at the hook the item snaps down in most cases so the loop looks like it is on the hook and I left click to set it in place/release it Once you practice the cross hair aiming a few times it gets easy.

Whatever item you are hanging coat, towel, key - follow this same procedure the center of the green cross hair must hit the hook it will feel 'off' at first but the items then snap in and hang as you think they should. Hope this helps.

A couple more notes:
When hanging the coat on coat rack or hook the cross hairs look red sometimes but process is the same the coat cross is actually at the collar.
When putting toast in toaster again get the center of its cross hair to the center of toaster slot and it snaps vertical - so cute!.
When hanging towels on horizontal bars again the cross hairs can be red and the center is at the center of the towel not the top aim only with the cross hair not the object logical/real spot it will always snap in place.

But the cross hair will NOT snap a toothbrush into one of the holders (yet anyway) but it's pretty easy to create the illusion with the move tool:

same thing use the pencil with the move tool and you can easily create the illusion of being in a cup or other holder


The toast in the toaster does snap with the cross hair one in each slot

I know you can snap individual flowers into some vases and most food will snap in crates or on plates

I have yet to see any sort of crosshair, but I’ll look for it next time. (Why did they make it so hard??)

I’m on PC using a mouse, btw.
