I would wish to at least change to day / night :/
Content wise every paid DLC added multiple new houses, tons of new items, and some of them had new minigames to play.
That being said I think some of the added free content gets missed because the Devs just added it to the game instead of releasing it as a DLC. There have been several of houses and new decoration items released around holidays. (Like a lot of Christmas decorations and then there was a Day of the Dead house and a few Halloween houses as well).
I would definitely not buy the game if you don't feel the existing content is sufficient or if Before/After photos are the most important part of the game to you. (Or curtains/shades) But I would keep an eye on the title over the next few months to see if they add the content that is most important to you.
