Am I an idiot or? (Carpets)

So, I've been playing around in the sandbox, and I can't seem to put carpets down, I can find area rugs, but I can't find any carpets that are wall to wall, like, I can make the floor wood, I can make it ceramic, I can even make it plastic, but no carpets????? Am I an idiot or are there actually no carpet textures????

I always try to match the carpets with the drapes but unfortunately there are neither in the game at this time.

I think it's important to keep in mind that HF1 has had several xpacs. You see the same thing with The Sims, where the newest game always feels a little empty for a while, because it doesn't have any xpacs.

That said, no carpet at all does seem like an oversight to me. If there was just one kind of carpet then all the colors we can customize, I'd get it. But no carpet at all?

Exactly! Which is why I don't get that we have the option for bed coverings but not floor coverings. In fact, carpet is the ONLY covering not available in flooring. This has to be an oversight, I can't imagine this was on purpose..

It may be possible that since there is a carpet texture that it's an oversight like a few of you have mentioned, this can happen during development, especially if (as mentioned the Devs are not from the US) the testing phases and QA didn't uses the carpets because it's just not in their style and it was something added to appease the US audience, it may be that it was accidentally left out or there is a . or a , somewhere in the code where there should be a : or ; or something to that effect.

I'm glad I looked this up, because I thought I wasn't looking in the right place. Hmmm... it's quite an oversight to not have carpet as an option. But it's only just been released, so hopefully that's something to be added in the future.
