Replace furniture with newly purchased one

I don't know if this is possible, but I like cleaning/renovating more than the actual interior design part and often would just like to target am existing, aged piece of furniture and replace it with the exact same, but newly purchased version of it.

Finding the same piece of furniture in the Shop is cumbersome. Does a feature like this exist? Is there an easy way to do this?

I think I saw somewhere in the perks that a later perk allows you to copy furniture styles from one piece of furniture to another. Perhaps this is the only way.
The player home definitely has some ugly and dilapidated furniture and I'd like to make it look shiny and new for the time being.

I tried that tool, but it did not seem to do the trick for me.

Select Flipper tool
Change mode to Change Design
Click Open to the Store button at the bottom right

It should bring you right to the exact item. Careful if you use the Copy Design function with the Flipper tool on old furniture, it'll also copy over the "worn down" textures, which I couldn't figure out how to get rid off.
