"edit grass" tool and it gives you a resizeable sphere tha shortens the grass. Not immersive at all but it does the same thing.

Sped my way through a majority of the story missions trying to unlock the mower before flipping houses on the market. Was incredibly disappointed to see gardening was omitted from the sequel. It added a value of immersion I loved in the first game, starting with yard > exterior > interior.

Wasn't the lawn mower part of the gardening DLC in the previous game? Why would they automatically add DLC content to the base game?

You are correct. There's no way to mow lawns in the base version of HF1. It was only available once the garden DLC was purchased.

Another shock to the system while playing the new base game and losing tons of content from the multiple DLC's and workshop support in HF1.

The work done by the dev team in HF1 motivated me to immediately pick up HF2 but in all honesty this game will probably sit in my library until there is more released after my first few flips.

I wouldn't expect every DLC feature from the original to be part of the main game. So you've lost nothing, it's just that those DLCs aren't out yet.

I kinda know that is likely the case, but I wish they didn't do that... All things available in the DLC's of HF1 should've been base-line for HF2

I would be satisfied if every lawn for the houses that I spend hours fixing up didn't look like they hosted a horseshoe tournament with no way to fix the grass. Mess up my grass after you sell me a mower.

I imagine that the DLC content will be similar to HF1. It's a business model that works for a lot of games people will pay for it so I don't see why they wouldn't keep milking it.
