So if you are still unsure about the graphics, probably wait a bit until those super creative players with those georgeous designing skills finish their first large projects and then decide again how you like the optics of HF2 :).
If graphics are all that need to be realistic for a game in general to be realistic to you you should not be playing simulators like that.
Maybe on your rig but not on mine. A couple of surfaces have a shine that makes them look more realistic but that's about it. Nothing else looks realistic or in-depth, especially compared to HF1. From standing in front of a house and looking at it to items on the kitchen counter, it all looks cartoony.
I've played cartoon games that have a better look and feel than HF2.
I mean as a simulator game it is more realistic with its gameplay and depth.
Even the fact that you can do logical "wiring" for switches and lamps is a huge step forward to me as well as being able to build an entire house with basement and everything from scratch.
The artstyle is pretty subjective, yeah. I love it. I like the colors.
I like it. But there's a lot of small details as well. It's not rough.
but, too bad you can only build using 90° corners. no round walls, no wide angles or whatever. That's such a big creative limitation that is worse than the artistic drection of the game.
