Is it possible to resize items?

I want to edit the size of an item. There is an info box that shows the dimensions with what looks like an edit button, but I am unable to click to edit anything. Is it possible? I was decorating with beams but they will not fit.

Use the Transform Tool. It has the Resize tool in it Press Q when equipped with it. Resize is in the middle.

I'm sad too its not available, tbh we don't know if it will come, but one could assume a major feature should be. With the current state of the game not having certain features and content, resizing is most likely not available because the game is still not finished

I'm using a controller on PC in sandbox mode and have yet to come across a transform tool or resize tool. The option to resize (Square with arrow thru it) is greyed out in the items buy window. I completed all email jobs, but is there something else to complete/do to acquire this ability? I've looked online and on Steam with no luck for an answer.

Are you entering the lots in Play mode or Edit Property?

Ok, lots? As in "New Property folder/tab? I already created a new build in Sandbox mode. I never used edit property, only used PLAY. I will choose edit property next time, if that's where the transform/resize ability is. Thanks!

Yeah, basically. Lots referring to saved houses you're working on in Sandbox Mode. Selecting Play lets you play on the lot the same way as the main game. Edit Property gives you a bunch more tools to easily build houses, such as the Resize tool. Keep in mind not every object can be Resized.

Having same problem you guys having on resizing. I am in sandbox mode and in Edit property. I can not resize anything. I'm trying to do resizing a window with the resize tool.
I tried it on everything else but that resize tool does not work at all. Only on the roofs though. Any ideas?

Now if you see a box with an arrow passing through it from bottom left to top right, that indicates its a resizable item.

Found a window to size, but just wall frame of it is resizeable but not the window itself. It also made it thicker as well. I'm looking for a video that can show how to do it right. But can't find one.

There are some items that can be resized but don't have this icon. I wonder if it's an oversight :shrug:

Went to try to resize windows, don't think you can. Only thing I found was being able to resize the Glass Wall item.
