Wall building / demolishing tool

I've been playing for about 6 hours. I'm still working my way through those beginner game emails. I just got the ability to buy a house to renovate. However, I still don't have the option in my tool wheel to demolish or build walls.....am I missing something? Thought I would have this before renovating the first house.
