[Spoilers] Unlockable heroes

After beating the game in the original Wii U version you could unlock some secret characters such as Kamiya, Bayonetta, Jeanne, etc using a cheat code.

you needed to buy them with a lot of o parts,you probably dont have enough after your first playthrough

I beat the game on Normal, and I'm about to start Hard Mode.

Once you unlock them they stay with you permanently! Some of them even have unique attributes that make them worth getting. For an example, wonder daddy has claws with the flame attribute instead of ice and wonder scarf has a whip with ice attributes. it is also possible to unlock them by getting bottle caps, it only takes a longer time to unlock them. If I recall unlocking Bayonetta required you to get a platinum on all the levels on the hardest difficulty (101% hard).

Platinum Paragon can be done on any difficulty. Unlocking Bayonetta requires completing every other bottle cap though.

Hi, I posted about this on the reddit and fan discord. After testing the old code a few times, I realized I'm on an XBone controller, so the buttons can't be the same. When that didn't work, I said ♥♥♥♥ it and just put in the directions backwards, and for some reason that works.

TLDR: New Code is Down Up Down Left Right Y A X B

It's not that it's backwards. They kept the code input the same, but since Wii U and Xbox buttons are flipped around, that means you must press X instead of Y and B instead of A and vice versa. The face inputs remain the same in that sense. (The right button is B for Xbox and it's A for Wii U).

The input is meant to look like the Platinum Games logo when you trace out the directions. The buttons are meant to look like the 4-point star.
