SUPER PEOPLE 2

is Super People really coming back?
Guys, first of all, let me be clear: if this news is true, I will be the happiest person on earth.
I have been commenting and voting on the SP Steam community very actively for the last couple of months.

Alright, so the discord channel title was changed to "SUPER PEOPLE - Coming 2025".
But, is it confirmed that the discord channel is operated by the Wonderpeople themselves?
I know it has a green tick that represents "official" but I am not sure about Discord, what are their criteria for issuing that green tick to a channel? I hope not anyone having the Nitro subscription can have that green tick, please confirm.

Why didn't the developers take the conventional approach to break this huge news?
Like announcing it on their official X (Twitter), Steam, or YouTube channel.

Maybe i am missing something obvious here but I am just afraid inside and don't want to build any false hope because it will be so traumatic for me.
So, I just want to be a million percent sure that our dream is coming true and that Super people is finally coming back.

Hey, from their announcement it's clearly written : If things go well for WOTD, they will bring the BR mode/SP altogether (I don't think it's a good idea to separate them instead to put them into same client)

Hey Super People Community!

We have some incredible news to share! Officially, Super People 1 is coming back in the first half of 2025! 🎉 Our voices have been heard, and we couldn’t have done this without the unwavering support of our amazing community.

First and foremost, we want to thank every one of you who has shown love for Super People and the team at Wonder People. Your passionate interest has motivated us all to keep pushing forward. We know many of you have fond memories of the game, and we appreciate all the feedback—both positive and negative—that helped shape our journey.

It hasn’t been easy for Wonder People. Super People was a massive project with a development investment of around $60 million and a dedicated team of about 200
developers. Unfortunately, they faced numerous challenges, including cheating and financial struggles, which led to the service termination of Super People.

Despite these difficulties, we, as a community, couldn't let go of our beloved project. We are thrilled to see the team starting to work on World of the Dead, a new variation mode stemming from Super People, and we’ve seen positive feedback from their internal tests reigniting their passion. The team has grown from five to 30 developers, all dedicated to bringing this universe back to life.

However, they need our help! While we know many fans suggest reviving Super People 1 right away, it's crucial that we support Wonder People to secure additional funding and developers for this endeavor. Your continued support for World of the Dead is vital for us to achieve our goal of launching Super People 1.

We are committed to keeping you updated on our progress, and we truly appreciate your support and encouragement. Together, let’s make this journey a success!

Thank you for believing in us, and let’s show Wonder People the power of our community! 💪

Stay tuned for more updates!

I played Super People 2. But I quit because of the cheaters. Lol, I remember in one session I had several cheaters, in the end one cheater beat the other. Cheaters killed this game, that says it all. Of course, there are other indirect reasons, but basically it's all because of cheaters. And the developers couldn't cope with it. I even have a video of how these cheaters fought

Sure ... A few flying cars or some spawn killing with unknow weapons without cd ... Never got killed by aimboter spaming SKS on my head ...
In every BR game that is somewhat popular, cheaters will pop up very quickly. So to make this a BR game that truly sticks out above the rest: it should be NOT free-to-play. Players are willing to pay some money if that helps to keep the cheaters out. Of course, the Publisher needs to make money: nothing wrong with selling various skins. But a true Anti-Cheat BR Game would be something many players are hoping for....
They say it depends on there Zombie game.

Spend money in there other game to pring back there old game, no thx!

All they had to do was to not mess up Super people 1! And make a store model resembling something like Fortnite's and battlepass as close as it could, and not overcharge people for the skins.

Or make it not a free to play game, to combat cheaters!

It was also the direction they took with Super people 2, that killed the game, Super people 1 was way better!
Super People 2 sucked. Bring back the original Super People BR game, and slowly transition away from the worst game title of all time somehow.
