How do you jump higher/farther ?

It's the second challenge I'm trying to do where I need to make really high jumps and I have no clue how. I'm going as fast as possible and prepare my jump for as long as possible and I still can't make it. And I know it's feasible I made it on my first attempt the exact same way.

What the heck determines your jump height ? It feels super random to me and I hope it's just me missing something and not a fennicky obscure mechanic that is almost impossible to control ?

I love the game but not gauging my jump height almost ever is super frustrating to me.

I think you have to release your jump at the last moment.
If you are riding the wall, you have to jump at the end.
Also some may need you to build enough speed with stepping(not sure the term) before the jump.

It's what I'm doing though :( Sometimes I jump much higher and I have no idea why. The frustration ...

yeah i agree the wall ride height are random as ♥♥♥♥ that bear chance is annyoing as hell
