addition of liquids(washer fluid, coolant, power steering)
unlock stations(repair bench, test track, body painting) and some tools(pretty much all checking tools) via money instead of level threshold
scrapping unrepairable parts for scrap, which you can use to increase part quality(value for normal, performance for tuning)
and it seems like you find farm maps in the lootboxes(which give money/exp/parts as well)
Yes there is still content planned for CMS21. CMS18 had 17 DLC's in total by the time that CMS21 released and i would expect that CMS21 will, at the very least, match that total if not exceed it.
The next original DLC for CMS21 will be Aston Martin but there is no word as to WHEN that will be, also the 60's classic DLC from CMS18 is going to be remastered for CMS21 as well, again no word as to when that will happen.
it has a few cosmetic changes, it has those extra parts to work with, but are they bringing anything worthy - i think more like not.
maybe the next game will be worth it.
the 1 thing, i think its better is the performance of the game, it runs smoother. not better, but smoother. edit: not quite actually. there are many unoptimized parts
and there are many things, that i dont like. even game breaking bugs.
edit: there is the drag racing dlc. its like a whole new game. very basic. small and not so entertaining. but its dlc, aka you pay extra to have it.
the "real car" dlc are a bad joke and money grab. most parts are the same like on the standard cars. like i said, maybe when they complete this game one day, its going to be worth it. or when they release cms20XX.
That has NOT been 'officially' announced tbmk... Furthermore, I have my doubts that they'll continue this series at all. They already milked it out with 4 iterations of the game... each one not bringing all that much new to the table versus it's previous iteration. At this point, they'd really have to step it up quite a bit for me to buy a new version of it. As it is... CMS18 is in some ways 'kind of' better than CMS21... depending on a persons preferences. And, CMS21 didn't add much at all with exception of the mini-games--which may / may not be a good thing depending on a players preference. So... is CMS21 worth it if you already have CMS18? That's VERY subjective depending on your preference. Best thing would be to play the demo version of it or watch some Ytube game-play vids to see if you're real excited about the changes. If not, give it a pass and wait to see if they do ever come out with a new version that 'might' bring a lot more to the table.
Absolutely! It's worth getting when on sale... even if you do have CMS 2018 version. Personally, I'm quite enjoying the 2021 version and appreciate the upgrades from the 2018 version. And, adding some QoL fixes with mod of same name 'QoL' mod, the game is even better. So, for me... the game was worth upgrading to. It is subjective though... which is why I recommended trying out the demo. Some ppl may not care about this versions 'upgrades' from the previous version... in which case it may not be worth it... having to purchase DLC all over again too.
