Blame Unity mate.
I understand your point, and I also think that would be the right thing to do. But the game has been on the market for a long time and it didn't bring those improvements compared to 2018. What I think is that if they charge you for a brand's dlc, they should include the real sounds of the engines of those cars, and If possible, also the sound of a bad engine. You really lose a lot in the simulation without the sound of the real engines.
That is awesome! Keep us informed of your progress, please!
I also think that the Unity engine is very limited.. that's why I'm hoping they switch to Unreal on CMS 2024 (one can only dream, right?)
any updates bro??
The audio is an immersion killer for me too. I am definitely interested in this mod. I would only make a small suggestion for dealing with a large project like that. Start simple and address the biggest offenders for version 0.1. Like engine start, rev, acceleration, and turnover/dry cough. Then start layering in enhancements as you update and add more depth.
This approach will help with few things. To name a few:
Basic feature. Not really bothered about sounds from an engine that never moves
