I did once and still could finish fluid missions. It takes a while to be able to do new quests again but you dont have to start over again.

i would say its not the best game plan, try making money instead, the more money you have the more you can make.

Just dont' go overboard with your starting money. Buy upgrades slowly, especially those costing 10k or more. Have at least double that if you're unsure if you should buy it or not.

I ran out of money once doing one of the story cars, I had to regroup. I sold off all kinds of parts from the story car to get enough finances to work on normal jobs. Then I made enough money to buy the story car parts back and continue playing.

That seems like something that would get you taken to court. "Hey there, is my car ready yet? It's been at your shop for a week and a half now when you said it would only take 2 days. What's that? You're waiting on parts? What parts? My tires, wheels, doors, and half my engine? Where did all of that stuff go? What do you mean you sold them so you could stay in business?"

outside of diagnostic tools, don't by any workshop upgrades until you need them for Story Mode... There's not a lot of game guides on how to advance but go cheap and don't try to fully restore a car in your first two hours... I'd wait till hit closer to 10 hours of game play before you do that and don't significantly upgrade your workshop (again unless needed to finish Story Mode... if you only spend what you need to in order to complete Story Mode you should be ok.

you have 3 parking spots out front take one or two more missions and swap good parts over to one car and finish it out use the profits to replace the parts on the others until you are back in the good money.

Fully restoring cars is definitely the way to make money fastest in this game. Don't even have to be fully restored. Buy from salvage/auction yard, restore as much as you can, sell for profit, rinse and repeat. Soon you will have enough cash to do a complete repair on a car. I made about $35,000 profit on my first full restoration that I bought for $6,000

K, dumb question but at what point can you start doing that? Because I wasted $500 going to the junkyard thinking I would be able to buy a junk car to then restore only to find that I could only dig around for parts.

There are definitely cars in the junkyard to buy. You usually find them hanging by themselves. Right click and buy. I've never been to junkyard and not seen at least 3 cars available to buy.

For me, until you got well 30 K, and full garage with workshops. The junk car will have several parts the are in the orange, and can be "fix" ( if you lucky ) The red are you can use for scrap points.

Just tried it, as long as you have the shop discount perks you make money. slow but steady. better than cycling jobs to find that fluid or exhaust job you can afford.
