How do you tune customer car?
The dyno says tuning is for owned cars only yet this customer literally wants a 10 to 15 % performance tuning. Do you just put performance parts in till you get 10 to 15% from that or something?

You can't use Dyno on customer cars, replace parts that add a certain percentage. You can find them in tune shop and then install them. No need for dyno

Well you can but only the testing portion. They really could of described that job portion a little better. Wasted 20 k on getting the dyno I didn't need.

True, I was almost pulling my hair on that mission before I found out the tune shop

+1 Me to. Most expensive pile of dust collector so far. Can't tune cars I do not own whats up with that. The customer wants tuning period. Its my dyno I should be able to do whatever I want with it.

The Laptop at the Dyno-tester is only there to adjust the gear box. So absolutely no need to use that to tune a car. That wouldn't increase the engine performance, which is what the customer asks for.

Same here, wasted 20k aswell, I don't get it why there is not a tutorial for the dyno.

I thought that it was bugged too but it's not. You have to get the performance up by exactly between 10-15% or it doesn't count.

Just do the maths, add up the % gain each part gives, if it's between min and max required it will work, if you are sure of the % and still not showing job complete then you have missed a part going back on car, look again.
BTW that portion of the job is costed to the cheapest parts to make minimum %, use gearboxes or blowers which are expensive per % gained, will lose money on the job.
Also you can use Scrap points (blue) to boost % and get away with one part less, providing you have the points and the scrap shed opened.
I had this issue and found I was well over what they wanted, removed some bolt on parts to drop it within range and got the green tick, confused me at first

It’s not bugged, just poorly explained.
