Need a loan system of some type
Love being screwed after spending hours in a game all because the story car cost 25k in parts and paint and no way of know that before you start

yeah a loan system would be good, could put interest on it so you dont spam

Don't need it. People wanted to use money for upgrades rather than levels so reap what you sow. Wasn't a problem before.

I agree, I'm currently stuck with story order that required tuning and I don't have dyno yet. I didn't know I need it that early and it's very expensive. So I need to urgently grind a lot of money.

In a way the game does have loans already. If you find yourself in desperate need of money, you can take a car in for customer repairs and "borrow" parts from it to sell for cash. It may not be very ethical, but desperate situations call for desperate measures. You will of course need to put the customer car back together before you return it, but there's no time pressure.

Hold your horses. I just invested 20000 CR on a building left to collect dust. When you try to tune the customers car you will get a message saying "you can only tune cars you own". This surely must be a bug.

No it is not a bug ;)
You have to buy Tunning Parts and test the car on the Dyno so you know that you have put in enough tunning parts.

Yea same just happened to me, it's dumb beyond belief how did it get past beta testing?

I think the drama of running out of money while fixing cars makes this game much more interesting. I find myself swapping cars in and out of lifters in order to do smaller jobs to claw myself away from 0 CR. When the payoff finally comes, you have a healthy balance sheet but not before then. Makes the intermediate phase of the game interesting. But after you have a safe cushion of money, the drama goes away.

In csm 18 was very hard to broke jobs was better paid and in cms 21 is harder on start i have same situation when i have 5 car to repair and no money so i strip off one of the car to repair other finish job gets paid and and slowly rebuild this giver and it was pretty fun and intresting :)

I managed to get by by selling old parts in my inventory and finishing small jobs I'm back to 3000 CR now, check your inventory you might have good parts to sell.
Also check for jobs with bonus CR %.

Indeed, I find it fun to try to estimate "How much more money do I need to finish this job" then estimate which new jobs will help me move towards this goal. Hint: FMW's with gearbox problems pay out *very well*.

Just work fluid jobs. Then once you have some cash, do suspension jobs, the brakes (brakes are last because ABS is expensive).

With non-story jobs you send them off with partial job completion to get money if you can't afford the full repair.

I also recommend getting the repair station and some repair skills. It can save you loads of money. The Brake Lathe is also incredibly useful (it fully repairs rotors if they aren't in the red condition).
