Tires and race
Hi all,
I like to build cars from the beginning and check them later on in the race.
I have three cars so far (these cars are in vanilla but I use real names):
- Mitsubishi Eclipse - 448hp
- Nissan Silvia (S15) - 387hp
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII - 509hp

My record on the truck is 1:32:520 in my third car but the other two have very similar results.
I could improve that record when my cars would be better on corners.

So, I have a little question: Does the Size of tires matter?
When back tires are bigger then I could better turn in my cars?

Regards,
Krzysztof.

RWD back tires as wide as fenders will allow for maximum traction patch. Front tires I usually keep to spec width. The more expensive the tire the more traction. A little less body roll with lower profile, I usually go for 35% on most track cars. If steering is to twitchy use race tires on the front, as sometimes slicks have to much "grab".
AWD don't go much wider on back compared to front wheels, slicks front and back.
For a lightning trip around the track, try Deadbob's Mustang Hoonicorn, just add slicks and gearbox and you are good to go.

The lancer is one of Deadbob's, as with most mods, run with recommended wheel sizes, only need to play around with vanilla cars.
