Story order 8
hi guys,

I have a problem. In mission number 8, where I have to repaint the car to the factory color.
I resprayed the car, but the quest won't complete, so I can't finish the job.
Any advice?

Did you replace the required body parts and take care of the mechanical issues? A couple of the body pieces are the B type and some are stock, too.

Yes, I have everything complete. Just painting the car can't be done.

Most often missed; Mirrors or Number plates.

Very good guide:

The reason it is not working is because you are choosing one of the factory colors of the allowable factory colors. If you go to paint shop and look at first tab, it has ONE factory color. Only that color will make the mission complete.

As you can see, the first panel lists a single factory color. Hope this helps.

Did you figure this out? I'm having the exact same issue as you @oFicaL. I painted the car the factory color, same as in your imgur photo but it won't mark that step as complete.

I didn't have a paint booth when I got this car, so it sat in the parking lot while I knocked out a few more cars to afford the paint booth. It shouldn't affect anything, but that's the only thing I did out of the ordinary that I can think of.
I got the same problem. After multiple paintings in every possible color i startet to look around the car and saw my problem. i forget to mount a window... hope this helps

Notice in this pic, it shows 'Paint Type' is set to 'Metallic' and that might not be the right setting. Usually, the paint booth defaults to Gloss for the paint type and I'm not sure that would be the correct setting for that Story Mission either. I really can't remember what paint type it was supposed to be for that Story Order. But, there's a good chance that is what is set wrong for that mission... IF it isn't the all too common of mistake of forgetting to assemble some body part... mirrors, windows, plates, bumpers, etc.

Side Note** Story Orders are finicky about their car parts. Do NOT replace things that were not on the job order list. I made the mistake of replacing some license plates on a Story order and the job would not let me 'complete' it due to missing parts--even though the car was complete. This was more of an issue in the CMS 2018 version but, maybe relevant in this version too.

I had the same issue. Every part was there, the checklist was all green - windows, plates, everything, the only thing left was the paint. Even if I selected the Factory option it still didn't count the car as painted in factory color. I got so mad I downloaded the QoL mod and enabled the debug menu and automatically finished the mission lol. I already did everything else on the car anyway.
