Can't say for sure but I know the Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 Game can make some computers run really HOT.
Same here but i can't even manage to play that long.
I haven't played this game for at least 6 months, but i played it before for more than 200 hours and never had issues.
A couple of weeks ago they had a sale and i bought the Drag, Mercedes and Rims DLCs.
I installed the game and started playing. After approximately 5 minutes (maybe less), i got a blue screen and the PC completely froze to the point that i couldn't even shut it down holding the power button, i had to shut down the power supply.
I tried again and this time it crashed when i got the the main menu (not a blue screen, just crashed to the desktop).
Then i thought it might be the mods. I managed to get in the game, sold all my MOD cars and then removed all the mods from the game, just to make sure they weren't interfering with something. It crashed anyway.
I uninstalled the game and installed it again and checked the files integrity (this time i didn't had any mods so it was a fresh install). Well, guess what, got a blue screen again after a couple of minutes in the game.
For me, it crashed at random times:
- While launching the game, before getting to the main menu
- On the main menu
- A couple of minutes in the game
- 15 minutes in the game tops (provably less since i only had time to buy a car and disassemble it)
- A few times while i was in the barn (making me lose the barn maps)

Complete custom loop from EKWB (not flexing by the way).
I've played many games that are way "heavier" than this game like Crysis 3, Far Cry 5 and 6 (finished 5 two days ago), GTA 5, Talos Principle 2, Forza Horizon 5, etc, etc. I played all those with the graphics maxed out without any issue, but now i can't even play this game that used to work flawlessly. I got a refund on those DLCs but now the game's also useless because i can't play it with or without the DLCs.
Not that i know.
I did all the common stuff to do in these situations:
- Checked windows updates
- Updated drivers
- Removed MODs
- Reinstalled the game
- Checked files integrity
Not sure if there's anything else i could've done but none of the above worked for me.
I'm guessing we'll have to wait for an update and hope it fixes whatever's causing these issues.

However, if it doesn't apply and you've already done all those steps before, then there maybe something else going on. I've never had a crash issue with this game and rarely ever a crash issue that I couldn't use Task Manager (Cntrl+Alt+Del) to close out the froze app... instead needing to use power button on PC. Usually, if an app causes the PC to freeze up, it's cuz of some improper configuration settings with the app and it's addressing hardware incorrectly. So, a person needs to narrow it down to if it is just that one app or is there multiple apps that the same thing happens. If it's multiple, then it could be a hardware issue--maybe it has some improper configuration setting. Ofc, gpu's do have configuration settings that are adjustable based on the app. Normally, it uses the default settings for all apps... unless the user (or GeForce Experience) modifies them for that app.
Another thing that can happen for games, sometimes a system is a little TOO powerful... and under-volting (lower clock speeds) can resolve the issue. I wouldn't expect that to be the case--again because you had it working fine before--unless you started using a different clock speed on hardware since after playing the game successfully.
I see someone else put in for a Bug report for having almost the same problem , So if you haven't already put in a Bug report I would do that.
