The junkyard needs to be improved
I need to say it, or at least share it, but I can't put it in a comment... but the worst thing about this version of CMS21 is the junkyard. In CMS18 entering the junkyard was a matter of finding 4 to 9 cars from the list, in CMS21 with luck you find 2; in CMS18 you could find powered parts to repair... now you only find everything from stock, so there are not many reasons to visit such a big and useless place, in a game that offers so much and makes you offer more.

You need the QoL mod from nexusmods.com
In the cfg file, you can set the junkyard to spawn cars in every 'slot'. Also, lets you reload it without traveling again if you don't like what you see. In addition, it will allow you to have VERY large amounts of auction deals. AND, allows you to reload barns without costing a barn map use if you don't find something you like.

this helps with spawn thanks a lot!! but it doesn't make performance parts appear, does it?

Not sure what you mean by that. It spawns all types of configs....The TK Aftermarket mods on that same page offer new parts such as better suspension arms, bushings, cam gear, idle rollers, rear differential guts assembly.

OOOOOHHH....in the junk piles. Sorry, mind was blank. I never use the junk piles, but I'm pretty sure it does not spawn tuned parts.

for that reason! in CMS18 it was interesting to go, you had to check 100% of the place to find what you need and what you need... now in CMS21 natively the spawn of cars is almost 0 and you only get stock parts... there is no reason to check, search, when you could look for parts with 1/2/3 stars... to make economy

This has been the thing that killed the replay value for me compared to 18. Tuning parts being only available new in the shop removes that aspect of the progression when it comes to building customized cars.

That was one of my fav things to get from the Junkyard in CMS 2018... performance Gearbox. Bring to shop, repair, put in warehouse storage. Would get a decent collection going. Then when I started repairing all my collection cars, I didn't need to buy gearbox's. Just grab one from warehouse. Now, no performance gearboxes in JY... boo! Then, my other fav thing about 'crates' (shipping boxes from barns and job orders) was you'd get an assortment of bonus level parts... sometimes even being performance parts. Now all we get is money, XP, (both of which you don't need except in early game) barn maps, and possible another crate--say wut? a crate inside a crate... but, that defies logic Captain! Now, we can create the bonus parts so, that's nice. But, I miss getting them in crates also. Was the exciting part about getting a crate in CMS2018 version--imo.

100% agree, that was a huge chunk of the replay value for me
