Here you can find your save files; remember that the “Username” depends on the name given during windows installation;
C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\Red Dot Games\Car Mechanic Simulator 2021\
Play game on new computer, if able to continue from where you left off, no need for the save file. But, if unable to continue, and having no other option than to start a new game, copy and paste the stored save file, to the folder location on new computer.
Might have to start playing the game, before there is a save location.
Also, might have to download game again. I've had an issue when changing to new computer, as old one stopped working. Could not use the games, or move games, had to download games all over, to the same drive that they already were installed on. Just couldn't get folders to cooperate. Not sure what led to that, and might be a one off thing for me. just be prepared in case.
Summary:
Save files should carry over, if Steam synchronization is activated.
Just to be safe, copy the save file and store it on storage media (usb drive/similar).
