Man, why can't Ford just ♥♥♥♥ off.

I bought the DLC just for the Ford GT since it's literally the only good car they've ever made. But what I didn't expect is for Fords to completely take over the in-game spawns.

Seriously, why is Red Dot pushing the new DLC so hard? I ALREADY OWN IT! There's literally no point to that!

For those who don't understand what I'm rambling about, which is probably most of you, Fords essentially took over the game. There's always a Ford in the junyard/barn when I visit one and 2/3 of the orders that appear are Fords, currently 3 of them are Mustangs and 2 are Ford GT's. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.

Is there a way to disable cars from appearing in orders? Or reduce their frequency at least?

PS: I don't have any mods, at the moment.

There is a very simple solution for this, just go to the cms21 game editor, look for the car you want to edit and go to the others tab and there at the very bottom you will be shown where the car appears there will be a junkyard, showroom, auctions and a shed

It must vary from player to player because the only problem I have with default and DLC cars is actually getting them to spawn. Mod cars are what has completely taken over spawns for me.

You might've already figured it out. If not, when you click play on Steam, you'll have several options. The second one is "Launch Car Editor."

Choose your preferred vehicle, and you'll click on this "Other" tab. Scroll down, and you'll see this:

Keep in mind that if you change these settings, they will reset any time there is an update, or if you need to verify file integrity. You can also change this in the config.txt. I don't recommend doing either one. Create a new config instead. Enable cars to spawn everywhere in your in-game settings, if you haven't already. The spawns will probably slow down.

As Grimm said, it varies for everyone, but not so much. Spawns are RNG-based, according to a parameter in the config/editor.

Btw, a lot of us understand what you're rambling about, as you say, so that's another thing to keep in mind. It's not a ramble, and it's no secret. If you don't know what the car editor is, then you know and understand LESS than most who would respond to your post. Jack Sh*t is a condescending bummer. Leave that fella by the wayside.

Move the cars to your garage, or sell them, and you'll see fewer of them over time. That's worked for me, anyway. Might be different for you. Someone knowledgeable with the code would be able to explain it better.

Or maybe you already know what the editor is, and you're f**king around, since you called it the car editor (the correct name) when asking TheBestGaming what it is, even though Best called it the game editor (the incorrect name). Hell if I know or care. You've got some info you didn't have before. (Or maybe not.)

Is there a manual way to edit it? Someone mentioned a config file a while ago.

Everyone who owns CMS21 has the car editor. It's not a separate program or install. If it isn't showing for you on steam you might be looking for it in the wrong place or maybe something is bugged and it's not showing you the launch option.

ONLY reason it is NOT showing is you are LAUNCHING it outside of STEAM AKA a bootleg cracked copy...

IF you are not seeing a menu that comes up when you hit play in steam showing a menu and the Car editor being the second choice I can only surmise that is WHY...

BTW I BOUGHT the game for this very reason :)

You can set steam to always use one launch option, it’s as simple as clicking a little checkbox when launching the game one time. He may have done that, which would explain why he isn’t getting the option when launching the game.

He's got the mouse icon; it denotes a legit copy. You can also launch the .exe outside of Steam with a legit copy.

Open the car folder you want to edit. Open the correct config.txt with Notepad (or++, whatever you use).

This example is of the GT40:

Erase the three locations that I've marked as bold, if you don't want it spawning anywhere. Save and close Notepad.

I do not recommend doing this with a default config, but you asked. If nothing else, back up your Cars folder and your profile saves into another location before doing this.
