Settle down partner. These devs might add 2 or 3 new features in the next game but don't expect too much effort and content being added.

Would require a greater level of complexity than RNG, doubt the back end has provision for it, besides the animation resources were spent on the fan (near computer).

I mean it really does suck that you work on engines and there is 0 animation in them. IMO this really destroys the immersion.

I've been saying but people don't seem to care. They'll just make a new game with better graphics, a couple of new features and resell the dlc's again at full price, even if you bought them on the previous game.
I refuse to buy a new game unless it's a huge improvement over this one or if it's done from ground up with proper physics, and, as you're mentioning, components animations like you get on "Wrench".

Wrench looks almost overly complicated, which isnt actually a bad thing I guess. But what has held me back all though I own a VR headset i cannot stand to wear that thing for more than maybe 30 mins. Most of the negative comments on this game is how it just doesnt work well without VR. So that has keep me from picking this up.

but you are right, I own 2018 and i picked up 2021 Honestly I dont even see a real difference between the 2 games.
