You know you can easily add any engine you want in the editor, or just open the config txt file and add it there, it's very easy.
Way back in the day I had a Mk 1 RS and then a Mk 0 TSI AWD ... miss that one so much.
So far, I didn't have any reason to mess around with it, so no, I didn't know that.
I just tried it out, however, problem solved. Great, thanks a lot!
On a side note, the car is a hackjob at the moment, in addition to the swap options the fusebox sits upside down somewhere in the driver's seat and the car has two intercoolers, one of them rather unsightly on display in the front intake section.
Dear folks at Red Dot, a final lookover surely wouldn't have hurt before releasing it.
The most I've been able to get out of it is 1859 hp with every ecu bar maxed except for the second from the left which remains at 3 as it can't go any higher without plunging the other bars into the negatives.
For example, if you have in the cars folder a 'config.txt, config1.txt, and config2.txt' then you'd rename your copy to 'config3.txt' Next, you'd open it and add a descriptor in the 'Suffix' line so it might look something like 'Suffix=GT' or whatever you want. Now, when you load up the car in car editor, you can use the drop down list to select the sub-model 'GT' which you just created. Then edit it to your hearts content. This way, if you end up having to use Steam's 'Verify Files' option, you don't lose all your hard work. It won't mess with that new 'config3.txt' file. Note* You also want to create the 'bodyconfig3.txt' to go along with the new config3 using same copy/paste. But, that one doesn't need any special identifier's in it cuz it's always just matched with it's corresponding 'config' file.
Then you haven't fully understood how that minigame works yet, you can always get 5 full bars.
