Max speed?
Hi all,

I recently finished my original playthrough (i discovered there was really nothing left to do after reaching the max of 900 million bucks) so I started again. In my original playthrough, I found that my favorite car to drive is the Nissan GT-R R35. I'd tuned that sucker up as much as possible and got its max speed up to about 360 Km/H.

In my new playthrough, I've purchased another R35, and have again bought all the maximum tuning components, and this time I'm also upgrading every part to 3 stars.

So here's where things get baffling.

My old R35 with no upgraded (no stars) parts had 919 HP and 1001 N.m of torque. My NEW one with a full 3-star engine has 1020 HP and 1109 N.m of torque.

In short, the old one has about 72% tuning and a max speed of about 360 Km/H
The new one has over 90% tuning, yet it only has a max speed of 275 Km/H.
This makes zero sense. Both cars have identical parts - I put 25" wheels on both (I do that because it increases speed and resale value) despite the fact that the wheels clip the frame. The only difference is the older, faster one was one I bought in a barn, while the newer, slower one was bought at auction. I'll be amazed if that causes a difference, but who knows...

.... okaaaay...... I re-tested the new one on the speed track and now it does about 370 max speed. it somehow got over 100 Km/H faster between test drives, with nothing changed on the car.

Wow. Neat.

Did you try rocking in your seat.
Probably a sync error and the dyno didn't register the tuning at first, it's basically the enter key after changing the script.

The dyno can have an impact on your speed?

No that would be the performance parts/GB ratios, the dyno sets it, a redirect to a different line of code. (edit, changing "engine torque mod" in config file to 1.7 would give same performance as 70% tuning to stock engine "ETM 1.0", all just numbers)
Coming back from first drive, reloading garage after track, likely booted the changes.
Just a glitch in the system.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks!
