On controller, sensitivity at 30% quite twitchy with slicks, less with the other tires. AWD want 50%
Since patch:
1) Road surface seems to have less friction on the race track. Spinning out has become such a problem that you are no longer racing for best times, you are "racing to avoid spinning out"...that's not really fun.
2) Cars are slower. This is quite obvious. At the speed track, top speeds are much lower
I can base this on screen shots taken over the last couple weeks and do the same thing now and see a big difference.
3) I suddenly see much less difference between different tunes; this morning I bought a stock I4 Elise, did 3 laps, tuned it to 10% added brakes/tires, 3 laps, 20% tune 3 laps, the largest time difference was 8 seconds. So by fine tuning to 20% (above that you are now ice skating anyways) I was able to shave less then 10% from my already slow lap time. I am a slow racer, so this would be even more frustrating if you are good.
To a lot of players this might not mean much. But the thrill for many is to take cars, tune them, and see the fruits of their labor on the track. Ultimately, the car only serves its purpose if it can be driven, without that, its just a hunk of virtual steel.
Next day went to salon bought 3 new Elise's (superb handling normally) with different tires, complete nurfed times. Ran them stock, and with 10% tune/gearbox, also tried a couple of others I had, a maxed tune i4 and 2 V6 mods all three have gotten me sub 1:20 times, now can barely make racerboy.
I have lots of screenshots.
I scienced it the best I could.
Thanks for responding.

Moot point if traction is out of control
Steering feels more subtle with a more analogue feeling in the stick, not needing to be in full lock on big bank, suspension feels tighter but that could be the cars I'm driving
Will have to develop a new driving technique and do away with tuning and slicks, negligible difference between sport and slick B on other wise identical cars. Can not push the stock Typhoons very hard at all, no where near where they were a week back, at least they don't spin out at the slightest touch. Will work on new lines and see what comes up.
Overall slower track good for low HP stock cars.
Update: testing some Emden Jagers on the track, I can also confirm that once again tuning seems to work properly. I am seeing significant changes in speed/lap time when up-tuning. I also once again am seeing that over-tuning is penalized and car will not respond well to be to highly tuned.
Thanks for addressing this so well.
