Tires

I'm new to the game, and I've completed the tutorial. I picked up my first job, and the car calls for a specific tire that is not available. When I add the car's tire to my shopping list, and purchase the tire that the shop matches to the shopping list, it won't work with the rim on the car. Basically, the tire is not what came off the car but the 'main shop' keeps suggesting it. Any suggestions?

That's the thing, the correct dimensions don't exist in the tire shop.

When you select a tire for the shop, and you press X for the list, the shop will show you the tire type but not the size. Same for the rims. Not the size. You have to select the size of the tire. Quantity - Diameter ( match the rim diameter ) - Whith - Height . Example : Need 4 - 17 - 205 - 45 ( 205/45/17 ) Sport Retro

You'll find the correct dimensions for the car you're working on in the details tab of that car. Use those dimensions when buying a tire in the shop. I think this was a rare shopping list bug that was supposed to have been fixed, but it might still persist. (I've never experienced this bug, so I've always had luck with just using the shopping list.)

Another thing: Do you have any mods installed from the workshop? What's the car you're working on? You might need to enable "Unrealistic wheel sizes" in your in-game Settings, if it's something with tall/wide wheels, or for a tire/rim size ratio that the game doesn't consider realistic.
