I wanted to know why my Ford F350 at the car salon can use 4 x 4 boss engine and a second hand can not?
The 4x4 variant can only swap with other 4x4 variants. Same difference with RWD variants.
Config engine swaps for the RWD:
swapoptions=engine_v8,engine_v8_scharged,engine_v8_coyote,engine_v8_f350
type=engine_v8_f350
Swaps for the 4x4:
swapoptions=engine_v8_4x4,engine_v8_f350_4x4
type=engine_v8_f350_4x4
Has to do with the drivetrain setup for each truck, and its respective engine. RWD doesn't have a 4x4 drivetrain, so it's only compatible with RWD engines (and vice versa). They don't include a transfer case, or a front-end differential. The engine models in-game are all connected with their transmissions. No way to separate them. It's a bummer, but that's how the models are designed.
Hope this helps.
