Spray it the factory color

I have seen some posts loosely talking about this topic. But I did not see any answers. I have a story mission that is 100% repaired. Welding included. Last assignment is to spray it the factory color. Factory color for the Emden Jager is white. (two different finishes of white). I have sprayed the car both whites. Painted it non-factory, exit both, re-enter booth and paint factory white. Nothing works. I must have painted it 15 times now. I cannot get past this mission without passing this paint job. Can someone please tell me the secret of getting past this apparent bug? Thank you.

When you go to paint interface there are two options on top of the page - current color and factory color, tick the factory color option and paint.

Yeah and the type of paint doesn't matter as long as it is the factory color. I often use the chrome paint since it is more shiny and sometimes i don't like the factory color to begin with.

That is one of the first ways I tried. No luck. Nothing I do completes the mission.

What paint level do you have ? When you go into the paint menu after clicking on the toolbox, there should be some paint options you can tab to if you have unlocked the higher level painting skills. The next option along is factory colours. Try tick a colour in the box then press paint. The job might require the paint level 2 upgrade not level 1.

have you saved and closed game and then open back up?

maybe its being glithy and the reboot will take care of it. not sure. just giving my 2 cents!

I have all the upgrades in the game completed in the toolbox. So my paint level should be the highest.

Update. I did not have the mirrors on the car when I painted. I put them on. Still did not pass mission. Repainted with door mirrors on, BINGO. Mission complete. Thanks community.

Allways check the car status, to see if all bits and pieces are attached.
It's annoying to find a small allmost hidden bushing or similar not being fixed/attached.

I was missing a mirror too when spraying in factory colours kept failing for no obvious reason.

Popped the missing mirror on, and fulfilling the task suddenly worked. Thanx catcracker !

If the car is "incomplete" it may not complete the mission. So check if all parts is there, including ALL the body parts that should be there for any paint mission or customer.

i ran into this problem as well and i painted the car 5 or 6 times, even got the artist achievement because of it. as it turned out the factory color i used was not the correct factory color .... he wanted a DIFFERENT factory color! seriously?

I found out on a customers vehicle you have to use the original factory color on the page with the current color and "factory" color to the right, the page with the factory color options won't work on the customers vehicles (missions)

I just ran into the same problem and I have to say, that's kinda weird - the car was yellow, so I picked the "factory yellow" for the paint job...

It wasn't even a Ford: "You can paint it any factory color, as long as it's white".

yep, search topic and you'll see 9 out of 10 times it's the mirror, been getting people for 2 years.
