you buy the salvaging container for 2500 at start of the game and forever on are grinding measly levels of scrap to upgrade anything, my personal solution for now is just using the EzScrap mod with 10x multiplier, but i would suggest a few modifications such as:
Enabling upgrades for the workbench such as:
More scrap from everything
or
Less scrap needed to upgrade
These levels could be with skill points or with money, and would make a great difference to the game and getting nice upgraded cars and shiny upgraded tuning parts
Another solution is to add some ability to buy scrap, maybe when you leave junkyard add an option to exchange goods you collected to scrap etc
What would be nice is being able to tell what is repairable like from a junk yard or when a mission task is to 'repair or replace' when nothing in the task list is even repairable.
Since I'm playing CMS21 after playing CMS18, one of the things I miss is the large library of subscribed workshop cars I had - thus my suggestion is whether or not the devs would be willing to allow CMS21 to access subscribed workshop mods from CMS18? of course I do understand that the car file format/configuration etc would require some conversion, but it'd be nice to add the cars I had subscribed to in CMS18 into CMS21...
I am aware that CMS21 introduced ECUs & fusebox/relays that weren't in CMS18, but there are plenty of workshop/dlc cars that don't have either anyways, so the CMS18 cars would merely be a little less accurate due to the lacking ECU/fusebox contents (and just to be sure, CMS18 cars wouldn't be able to participate in drag racing...)

They COULD add these kinds of parts to the game:
piston Pin
Bearing Shells
Torx Screws or different types screws
Repair engine by wrong timing replacing or adjusting parts. Or by disassembling the engine.
Tightening the screws with a certain force. To see how hard to tighten the screw. (Nm). Each screw on the engine is tightened with a different torque.
Breaking a screw or thread into parts. For example, on rusty parts. Tearing off of the spark plug thread on the engine.
Engine head lining.

Outside lighting when it gets dark...
...garage front lighting, including cast lighting on the parking areas (Don't forget we can do top-end repairs and bodywork out there.)
...street lights on the road
...headlights/taillights on the cars going by
...and even being able to turn the exterior/interior lights on the cars we work on (I mean, what good is the inclusion of fixing the fuses and relays if we can't see the results, right?)
...also, being able to see the stars and/or the moon through the skylight inside
...etc, etc.
EDIT: Took out the last comment about clouds. Didn't notice they already had moving cloud shadows until I played last night.
Fact is modders create equally high quality vehicles for free but engines are the only restriction. Like for example Drag DLC is a paywall to many great free mods. We'll never see easy access to modded engines because the devs want to hold on to milking us as much as possible.
