I do the same thing!
i usaly fix 2 cars of the same model in one go
so bein able to store part when they are fixed are rather helpfull
storage 6 is used for part to scrap
storage 5 random 100% body part
storage 4 random 100% engine parts
Until they have the storage UI that connects to store UI in a way that you can tick the option in store page and pull the part from your storage automatically if you have it there, it`s no point using this since you will be just wasting time trying to find something without knowing if you actually have it or not and money saving from this is not worth the trouble.
I would make use of the warehouse and keep everything sorted if there were a quick way to swap back and forth. Like dump my entire inventory into one warehouse and switch another warehouse to my inventory in one click or something.
